On Google talk, thanks to Ian

After interminable futzing with Gaim I finally figured out how to connect to Google Talk using Ian's screen shot. All the other hints were suggesting "talk.google.com" as the server, but that never worked for me. I'm up now, user name uche.ogbuji. I'm glad Google's using Jabber. As they start to support more and more of Jabber's features, it should become the killer mass IM service.

I'm just happy jabber finally has some high profile weight behind its name. Maybe I can finally give up on AIM and MSN and move all my friends unto this
kwasi, exactly.

BTW, Dave Pawson mentioned this page, which gave the same hint I'd already had from Ian:

This is cool; I wonder when gaim (or gaim-vv) or psi will support the voice chat feature.  Now I just wish I could make it work; I keep getting a TLS negotiation error with both gaim and psi.  Sigh.
I'm just glad I my screenshot could help. Feel free to add me to your buddy list.
